To Search our Registry, use the Magnifying Glass which is the Search button (next to STAR) or you can opt
to search by Decade or by State from the left menu.

 Click Magnifying Glass which is the SEARCH button on upper right next to STAR 
    - SEARCH box opens and will search ALL 
      fields 

         * Specific date of birth must be entered
            in the following format:   mm/dd/yyyy 
         * Search a specific year only, the year 
            must be entered as   /yyyy or   /1951
         * Search by any keyword (i.e. Hospital, 
            Maiden name, etc.) 
          * Search by city & state (i.e. Columbus, 
             OH using comma and state 
             abbreviation)

To perform an ADVANCED FIND to search specific fields
     - Select Adoption Database on light gray
       menu, scroll down to "Show Records 
       where (all) of these conditions are true" 
       and enter data you wish to locate, i.e.,  
       (Maiden Name) contains (Holcomb).

      - Search DOB  
        format must be 03/02/1951 
      - Search partial DOB by year
         enter as  /1951 or appropriate year
      - Search by month only
         enter as  03/ or appropriate month
            
       - Search Keywords:
                City & State - Dayton, OH (use
                comma and state abbreviation)
                Maiden Name - Smith
                Name of Hospital - Good Samaritan

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
